Non-SDSU Affiliates and Community Members

Virtual Event

Community members or non-SDSU affiliated event planners cannot use SDSU resources for their virtual event, unless it is in collaboration with a University entity. In this case, the University entity should then take over the planning.

In-Person Event

If you are not affiliated with SDSU, only requests for classroom space and Outdoor Space, such as tabling or other Outdoor Activities, must be submitted online through SDSU's Event Approval System. Reservations for use of campus grounds/outdoor space are required when using chairs, tables, canopies, structures, vehicles, food, beverages, or sound amplification equipment.  The details inputted on the EAS form will determine if any additional permitting forms are required.Reservations for Use of Campus Grounds/Outdoor Space

As of Monday, February 1, 2016, the paper Outdoor Space Application is no longer valid. All requests must be made through the online Event Application System (EAS).

Requesting Classroom Space

All requests for classroom space must be made using the online EAS.  Non-SDSU affiliates and community members may be charged a possible rental fee. You must indicate in the EAS "Notes" section if you would like to use the Smart Classroom Technology (projector, computer, etc.).

Classroom requests for technology from off-campus partners may be subject to the Smart Classroom Technology fee. Once you have submitted an EAS request for a classroom with technology, a Student Life Advisor will contact you in regards to potential fees.

Other On-Campus Facilities

Apart from outdoor and classroom spaces (all initially reserved through EAS), all other facility spaces should be reserved directly with their booking office. Contact your desired venue for availability and reserve the space pending approval.

Rental agreements for evening and weekend events in the following venues are coordinated through Business and Financial Affairs, Business Services at 619-594-5752. Rental agreements for weekday reservations are coordinated directly through each facility
