Communication and Promotion

There are a number of promotion and communication methods available on campus to reach various audiences.  Listed are resources available to faculty, staff and students to promote events on campus.

Faculty and Staff

The following outlets are available for faculty and staff.

Faculty and staff can also request to have a campus email notice set on their behalf.  Email is the university’s primary source of communication with faculty, staff and students.

Campus email requests should be submitted five (5) days in advance of your intended send date.  To request, please fill out the Campus Email Request form. (Note: Internal access required to fill out the request form.)

Freeway Marquee

Faculty and staff have the opportunity to submit a request for their event to be promoted on SDSU’s freeway marquee on I-8.  Please review the guidelines provided on the Freeway Marquee page of our SDSU Brand Portal.

Digital Signage

There are a number of digital displays across campus available for faculty and staff to promote their events.  Request guidelines and formatting requirements may vary across displays.  For more information, please visit the Digital Signage page of our SDSU Brand Portal.

Social Media Promotion

Most units and departments across campus use social media platforms to extend their reach into the community.  Social media can be a great outlet to promote your event to audiences both on campus and off.  Consult your unit’s social media strategist for guidance on how best to promote your event.

If you require additional support in terms of social media guidance, please reach out to Strategic Communications and Public Affairs, by emailing [email protected].
